The best PCS so far

of the whole two we’ve actually done
As far as PCS’s go this one was smooth as butter!  The only thing we’re waiting on is the car and I’m almost afraid to speak too soon incase something goes wrong with that…
From start to finish we had very little difficulty with this move and we were sure SOMETHING would happen along the way,  but despite a few busted beer bottles in our baggage, everything was fine!  Our flights from Germany to Florida were fine, We enjoyed our time in Jacksonville, an impending tropical storm lost it’s steam and never effected out flights from Florida to Texas.  Even all of our luggage was first off the plane when we landed in San Antonio!
We’ve since moved into our new (to us), tiny apartment and have completely finished unpacking.  We’ve even hung most of our pictures up!  While it looks like home, it doesn't quite feel like it yet, and now that all of this is done it’s time to tackle the next obstacle; the Nursery Corner.
Since we’ll be here for such a short while, and little Oliver and Aria will be living here for even less time, once they are born, we decided to go with a one bedroom place and have the babies room with us.  I plan to breastfeed anyway so I imagine that will make things a little easier.  Since they wont have their own room, I’m dedicating a corner of the bedroom to them and dubbed it the Nursery Corner.  Right now it’s completely empty, and it dawned on me the other night that there is only 5 months until these babies come.  Less if they come early which is likely! I’m trying not to stress, but boy oh boy is that whole nesting thing kicking in hard core!
Other than that, we’ve only just begun to explore San Antonio, and so far so good.  I forgot how pretty Spanish sounds after years of hearing German especially!  It’s hot and humid like Florida was and we’ll see how bad it can get.  I’m surprised at how brown everything is with all the rain they received earlier this summer!  I’m really looking forward to upping our Tex Mex cooking skills, and trying the tamale joint we discovered down the road!  My mouth is watering just thinking about tamales!  It’s time I go feed these babies and myself! Until next time, Adios!
